Improving Penile Fitness

Peyronie's Question

I have been struggling with erectile dysfunction and signs of penile shrinkage (loss of length/girth), minor curvature over the past 4-5 months and am 29 years old.

Doctors are unsure if this is due to penile injury sustained during sex or potentially from loss of blood flow following inguinal hernia surgery.

stiffness

Regardless, I would like to use a product that helps improve penile fitness and blood flow. It sounds as if the vacuum would be the way to go for me. Are there pros and cons on the Penomet vs. the androvaccuum? Is there one that provides a better chance to help with length and girth?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all you do. Best, M

My Peyronie's Answer

I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal at such a young age. As you say, the exact cause is maybe not the biggest issue right now. You don't say if you have been formally diagnosed with Peyronie's but I'm assuming you have. And it sounds like you are in the early acute stage (usually lasts between 12 – 18 months).

The good news is that this is the best time to start treatment, i.e. to prevent the disease to get worse and hopefully even reverse some of the effects it has already had. Because the bad news is that during the acute stage, the disease can continue to progress / get worse.

It is vital for men with Peyronie's not to attempt sexual intercourse without firm enough erection (actually important for all men, as this is the likely cause of many Peyronie's cases). Because the penis is then at risk of buckling which can aggravate the disease (or cause it in the first place).

So improving your erectile health should rightly be your first priority. And vacuum pumps are the right device for that. Vacuum device will give you erection on demand (for intercourse) but using it on regular basis will also improve your erectile fitness going forward. In your case, I think electric pump like Androvacuum would be better choice.

Some men have used vacuum pumps also for penis enlargement and curvature correction. As your curvature is still mild, it may be sufficient.

However, if you can, then you may want to consider traction device as well as penis pump. There is no question that traction does lengthen the penis if used for prolonged period of time. That's just how traction works (think of long neck Kayan women in Burma). It however does require commitment, you need to wear the device for up to 8 hours per day for few months for best results.

You can realistically expect between 0.5 – 1 cm in penile length per month of use. So to increase your penile length by 1 - 2 inches (2.5 – 5 cm) you are likely to have to use the penis traction device for 6 - 10 hours daily for 3 - 6 months. It also helps with girth.

Traction device can also help with reducing penis curvature. They work better than pump on the curvature as they provide more prolonged traction (hours daily compared to minutes). This article compares the two options, i.e. penis pump and traction device.

While my answer in this article contains links to my articles about traction devices.

I hope this is of some help but feel free to contact me anytime if you think I can be of any further assistance. I would also appreciate if you keep me posted about your progress.
