Do I have Peyronie's Or Congenital Curvature?

Peyronie's Question

Hello! Im 17 Years old and I have a curve to the left. But my IMPORTANT QUESTION is how does the curve relate to the plaque. As in like if I have plaque on the outer right side of my penis, should I curve to the left?

I’ve been reading extensively and it seems the opposite should be true, you should curve towards the side your plaque is on. But for me that’s not the case. Anyways I just wanted to ask if you guys curve opposite to the side the plague is on.

Thanks!!!

My Peyronie's Answer

I’m very sorry to hear about your condition at such a young age. I hope you have seen a doctor but if not then I recommend you do so a.s.a.p.

Because the first step is to get formal diagnosis because your treatment options are different if you have congenital curvature or Peyronie’s curvature. And if you do have Peyronie’s, then it matters if you are in the acute phase or the stable phase. Therefore, I recommend you see a doctor ASAP if you have not already done so.

Now regarding your question. Peyronie’s curve always points in the direction of the plague, i.e. if you curve to the left then the plaque would be on the left side. The easiest way to explain this is to think of long balloon like clowns’ use. Imagine putting inflexible tape on one side of the balloon and then blow it up. When inflated the balloon will deviate in the direction of the tape (the scar tissue in this case).

If I understand you correctly your plague is on the right side but your penis curves to the left side. This means you may have left side congenital curvature (born with the condition) and Peyronie’s disease as well. Again, one more reason to see a doctor ASAP and get formal diagnosis and advice about your options.
